About the Charity
The Charity, FibroAwareness was set up in 2011 by Director Lindsay Gibbs who Suffers from Fibromyalgia herself.
The Aims of the Charity are:
- To Raise Awareness of the illness through fun days and events
- To Set up a regular support group for adults who suffer with Fibromyalgia
- To support suffers, friends and family through networking events and free information, advice and support
Since setting up the charity and creating a twitter site, the response has been overwhelming. The Fibro Community (fibro sufferers) have been amazing and the tweets we have been receiving
make it all worthwhile.
“thankyou. I think the support has already begun just by your reply”
“Thank you very much. I #appreciateit !! “
“thank you. Support is hard to come by with this condition”
“Thank you for the follow. Your organisation means a lot to me.”
